Brian is the co-producer and Programme Clinical Director of the MSc Specialist Practice of Clinical Aesthetic Non-Surgical Interventions, University of Greater Manchester, Queens Institute of Medical Sciences.

He is a Visiting Professor, City of London Dental School for the MSc Programmes, University of Greater Manchester, Queens Institute of Medical Sciences.

He also works as a Medical Aesthetics Practitioner in Central London.

He was formerly the Clinical Lead and Senior Lecturer on the MSc in Facial Aesthetics at the School of Medicine and Dentistry, University of Central Lancashire.

Brian was a member of Health Education England, Cosmetic Non-surgical Interventions Expert Reference Group (ERG) regarding the provision and training for aesthetic non-surgical interventions.

He is a Member of the Medical Board of CCR (Clinical Cosmetic & Reconstructive) Expo and Scientific Council Member of the International Association of Mesotherapy (IAM).

He is a member of the Judging Panels for the Aesthetics Awards, Dentistry Awards and the Dentistry Clinical Case Awards Brian is a Fellow of the Expert Witness Institute and an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.

He is an associate of the General Dental Council being a panel member of the General Dental Council Private Patients’ Complaints Service.

Brian is an experienced international presenter/lecturer and teacher in the fields of Medical Aesthetics and Dentistry and has written numerous articles over the years for aesthetics and dental publications

Heather Muir has huge love for Uddinsgton - after growing up and enjoying a wonderful education in this beautiful South Lanarkshire area, she went on to study for a degree in Dentistry at the University of Glasgow, which is currently ranked first in the UK in its field.After graduating, Heather enjoyed a twenty-year career in the NHS, which not only enabled her to achieve many career heights, but also enabled her to work within communities offering first-rate dentistry services. Her commitment to ongoing training during that time enabled her to further hone her skills.

A chance appointment accompanying her mum to have BOTOX® treatments two decades ago was a ‘lightbulb’ moment for Heather - as an experienced dentist she already had the medical skills that were in demand, which led her to further studies dedicated to her new chosen specialism. In 2010 Heather was awarded a Masters in Aesthetics from the University of Central Lancashire: a pioneering qualification in the field of aesthetics was now hers.

Heather then launched Your Face Aesthetics Medical Aesthetics Clinic in her beloved Uddingston. A state-of-the-art facility specialising in non-surgical aesthetic procedures, Heather heads up a team who deliver first-rate treatments carried out using all of the latest regulations and guidelines. The clinic boosts a wide range of treatments which deliver optimal results for the skin, face and body.

With over sixteen years experience in facial aesthetic treatments, Heather is an accredited Allergan practitioner in carrying out BOTOX® injections and currently teaches facial aesthetic techniques to dentists, doctors and nurses. Her educational standards and benchmarks mean that she is always first with clinically-proven updates, and welcomes the new government guideline discussion to ensure optimum safety standards across the industry.

Heather’s love of all things skincare and beauty then led her to research, develop and launch her own dedicated skincare range: Skin Sculpt Skincare embodies all of the expertise she has built during her time in aesthetics, and her medical qualifications coupled with a spirit for both innovation and enterprise led her to her own skincare line. This medical skincare range is backed by scientific research and driven by results. “My work has always been my passion. I enjoyed every moment of being a dentist, and the skills I developed during that time enabled me to move forwards in terms of creating my own aesthetics clinic, becoming an aesthetic educator, and then on my quest to research and develop a luxurious and effective dermocosmetic skincare line.

Your Face Aesthetics is all about making clients look great, and feel wonderful. With my trained eye, I believe that subtle results are quite simply the most desired outcome. My clients want to look refreshed, and natural: they want to be the best version of themselves, and certainly not look like anyone else. My dentistry training gave me the perfect background in terms of every aspect of how facial features and bone structure work: my aim is then to take these into account, so that each client feels their own individual beauty is both enhanced and respected.

My clinic now has a comprehensive range of treatments of which I am really proud. I work with my clients to look at their achievable goals, and they really are surprised at what we can achieve together. My commitment to ongoing training and industry awareness means that any innovation I introduce in-clinic has to be not the first-to-market, but the best-to-market.

As an educator, I feel honoured to be able to share my expertise with my students, to ensure they benefit from my guidance in order to build their own skills and proficiency.

My skincare line, Skin Sculpt Skincare, felt like a natural extension for me. I wanted my clients to walk away from my clinic knowing they could help maintain their skin in-between treatments, and invest in its own long-term health and appearance. Skin tone and texture often show up as client concerns, and so I wanted to develop a core range that could help and alleviate these concerns. As the retail market is so extensive now, I often find clients show up for appointments having aggravated their skin using too many products, or ones not suited to their skin type.

Skin Sculpt enables each client to have a range which suits them exactly, and includes cleansers, exfoliators, hydrators, moisturisers, protectors, eye, lip and specialist treatments utilising active and proven ingredients, such as retinoids and hyaluronic acids, which have been formulated in conjunctions with a leading laboratory, to ensure that results are both driven and gentle. We have also added a dedicated range for men, and two self-tanning products: I have very pale skin, and I am also an SPF devotee, so these were developed for when I personally enjoy a little golden glow. I know it’s something my clients also appreciate. Our discovery box means you can try out smaller-sized products for size, and over time I will be adding to our product portfolio. Again, I will take a subtle approach - I don’t want to over-complicate the process. I also aim to have the range stocked in other professional clinics and spas.

I work from the basis that you start with the basics and proceed from there. Now that Skin Sculpt Skincare is available online, we also offer complimentary skincare analysis advice so that any new customer gets the same advice as our in-clinic clients. Aesthetic treatments are then there to enhance and maintain. There is no point aiming for maximum results if you skimp on wellbeing: poor diet, lack of exercise, too much stress and not using proper sun protection will not help you in your quest for healthy skin!

I am really proud of what I have achieved so far, and of course, I could not do the wonderful work I feel it is a privilege to undertake without the support of my colleagues, friends and family, who are always there to encourage and support me.

Frances Turner Traill, an aesthetic nurse prescriber with her two highly acclaimed, HIS-registered clinics in South Lanarkshire and Inverness, Frances is a highly regarded, national figure in medical aesthetics, earning recognition in Tatler for her injecting skill, BBC Radio and TV and magazines for her public safety campaigns, publications in various professional journals as well as multiple awards including the prestigious, national Aesthetic Journal Awards for UK Nurse Practitioner of the Year and Scottish Clinic of the Year.

Starting out as a Registered General and Mental Health Nurse, her extensive academic background includes an MA from Glasgow University, a Bachelor of Science in Professional Practice and Dermatology from Stirling University, and a PG Cert in Aesthetic Medicine from Northumbria University. Having founded and lead British Association of Medical Aesthetic Nurses in Scotland for 7 years, she is an honorary board member and is an active member of CMAC. Frances also consults and trains for Prollenium, a Canadian dermal filler company, and Evolus, a U.S.-based neuromodulator brand and Mastelli, an Italian Polynucletotide provider as well as an accredited mentor for Masters in Medical Aesthetics.

Lorna is an experienced business owner, aesthetic nurse and trainer, having worked in aesthetics since the early 1990s. With extensive experience of delivering aesthetic procedures as well as an in-depth understanding of the global aesthetic medical market, she trains and lectures regularly on procedures and business management in aesthetics. Lorna specialises in cosmetic and medical skincare, treatments and peels. Lorna was a founding member of the British Association of Medical Aesthetic Nurses and a Consulting Editor to the Journal of Aesthetic Medicine and she is the owner and CEO of leading aesthetics distribution company, AestheticSource. Lorna loves leading the team, watching the ‘family’ develop, stretching their skills and working closely with the company’s customers with a focus on trust, authenticity and passion, to support business growth for partner clinics in aesthetics and beauty.
