In 1994, Lynton Lasers Ltd was formed by a group of PhD Physicists working at the Physics Department at the University of Manchester. The team was working on the development of one of the world’s first Q-switched tattoo removal lasers, a project they then decided to commercialise, making this new and exciting technology available to the UK aesthetic and medical practitioners.
This academic background played a major role in Lynton becoming a leading supplier and educational provider, not only to Lynton customers but to all practitioners looking to advance their knowledge and expertise of light-based treatments.
This year, Lynton celebrates 25 years in the Aesthetics Technology Industry. "We are delighted to be celebrating our 25th year at Lynton! It’s been a pleasure to a part of such a dynamic and fast paced industry during this time, and we are proud to be a British manufacturer with well over 1000 UK customers. In fact, I’d like to take this opportunity to thank our fantastic team and valued customers for all their support over the last 25 years and we look forward to even more success in the next 25 years!!!" - Jon Exley, Managing Director.
EVERYTHING WE DO IS IN-HOUSE
Most ordinary cosmetic brands outsource their manufacture and even their product development to third-parties. At Medik8, we develop every single product from an idea to implementation, ALL in-house at our UK laboratories in Elstree and production facility in Radlett.
THINK. LAB. MAKE. TELL.
Step one - THINK - Before we dive into lab work, the first step for any Medik8 product is comprehensive market research. We scour the marketplace and determine exactly what the customer is looking for.
Step two - LAB - We develop every single product from scratch. We don’t buy off the shelf stock formulations. Even in rare cases where we work with a specialist partner to produce the final article, we always do the development and check every single detail. We scour the Earth to find the right ingredients and proceed to a full ‘nature-biased’ chemistry workup.
Step three - MAKE - We approach manufacture with a clinical precision that is unusual for the industry. We work to an ‘ultra-clean’ standard and frankly our process is way over the top for cosmetics. Quality is not just a word for us. It’s an obsession and we probably need help!!
Step four - TELL - We have an incredible marketing team who produce all the social media, PR, advertising & packaging content. We run frequent in-store promotions and all sorts of merchandising mechanics. But we also get out into the field and train business partners face-to-face from around the world.
