Over the past 20 years, I have been open minded, innovative & inclusive, making consistent & significant national and international contributions to the field of aesthetic surgery and medicine. This has been in the form of cadaver workshops, lectures, scientific publications & book chapters.
I am grateful that I can use my skills to advance aesthetic surgery for my colleagues, but also to help restore patients.
Aesthetic Surgery & Medicine is not only about improving the physical appearance for me, but a restoration of a patients self confidence & happiness after the treatments I perform.
As an aesthetic oculoplastic surgeon, I love my chosen vocation, as aesthetics symbolises the pinnacle of art, science and imagination.
I am totally dedicated to offering my patients the very finest care and results possible. I have transformed the appearance and lives of many and my 5-star ratings on Google and Doctify are testament to this.
To achieve this, I am constantly looking to expand my knowledge of the latest technology and skills in the latest techniques. I am proud of the fact I continue to pioneer numerous treatment firsts in the UK market, including combining surgical procedures with the latest non-invasive treatments for optimum results.
Beyond my patient work, I am totally committed to furthering industry standards. I am actively involved in the industry’s professional bodies and participate in industry events and conferences. I share my expertise with other professional colleagues through collaboration with other clinics and on regular conference platforms.
Through my educational and academic work, I am helping to shape the next generation of outstanding surgeons. I take pride in being the UK’s only Professor of Aesthetic Medicine and in establishing and leading the UK's first master’s Programme in Aesthetic Medicine.
True to the spirit that originally drove me to become a doctor, I also work tirelessly to provide humanitarian support where my skills can be put to good use.
Miss Elizabeth D. Hawkes is a consultant oculoplastic surgeon specialising in blepharoplasty surgery, eye surgery and non-surgical face and eye rejuvenation. She has made a significant contribution to the surgical and non-surgical community after her appointment as a consultant ophthalmologist only 3 years ago.
Elizabeth was honoured to take over the practice of Professor Richard Collin, a world-leader in the specialty of ophthalmic plastic surgery. She now leads the oculoplastic service at the prestigious Cadogan Clinic in London.
She has an interest in clinical safety and is an advisor to CMAC (Complications in Medical Aesthetics Collaborative). She also sits on the clinical advisory board for the Aesthetics Journal. She is a fellow and qualified examiner for the Royal College of Ophthalmologists.
Elizabeth prides herself on safe surgery and natural high quality results. Her patients comment on her professional and friendly manner. She is now a trusted voice of authority in the media having been featured regularly in various outlets such as the Telegraph, GB News and Daily Mail
I studied and qualified in London, having graduated from UCL Medical School in 1995, and having been a consultant plastic surgeon since 2009.
I have been in private practice for the last 11 years, having spent the first few years as a consultant concentrating on my NHS practice.
I stepped down as 'Clinical Director' for surgery at King's, (looking after 87 consultant surgeons for 4 years...) and am now back to being a 'jobbing plastic surgeon', working part time in the NHS.
My aesthetic private practice has grown a lot in the last few years, especially over the course of the pandemic. Facial surgery (especially rhinoplasty) has really taken off.
I now teach much more - I am president of the Royal Society of Medicine Plastic Surgery Section, UK National Secretary for ISAPS, a Council member of BAAPS, and Patron of King's College London Medical School's Plastic Surgery Society (KCLPRASS)
Since 2014 I've been visiting abroad to treat complex limb injuries, having been to Gaza over 15 times now (I've lost count...)
I am now opening my own small hospital in South London, to provide plastic surgery, ophthalmology and non-surgical services - a need that has become more obvious than ever, as a result of shifts in the market because of COVID.

My focus area now is breast surgery with a particular emphasis on women who have complex issues following previous operations. I have designed several new innovative Surgical Techniques specifically for this group of patients and am regularly asked to lecture and demonstrate these to younger surgeons.
One of my passions has always been teaching and research and I have authored over 30 peer reviewed articles and a best-selling Plastic Surgery Textbook. As a young Surgeon I took time out to complete a Master’s degree in wound healing with a focus on improving scarring for conditions such as severe burns. I founded Cosmetic Courses in 2003 and we are proud to have trained over 2500 medical professionals including some of the biggest names in the industry!
Communication within Medicine and with the public has always been an interest. I started making short teaching videos on Surgery in 2009 and the channel has had over 22 million views from all around the World. Over the lockdown period I interviewed over 120 Doctors, Nurses and Dentists and co-hosted a Podcast featuring many of the key Figures in our Industry
In the past 30 years I have seen our Industry grow from a small seedling into a beautiful garden full of varied and interesting plants. It has been a fascinating and educational journey and one which I hope to continue for many years to come.
