The Award for Best New Clinic is open to any medical aesthetic clinic in England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, or Ireland that was established after 1 January 2022. Finalists will be judged on their outstanding initiatives designed to promote growth, evidence of commitment to high customer service, excellent patient care and safety, as well as good feedback from patients.


Important information

Best New Clinic entrants will not be eligible to enter the regional clinic categories. The Aesthetics Awards reserves the right to move your clinic entry into a regional category if deemed appropriate.


The Winner will be selected by The Aesthetics Awards Judges, and there will be no voting element for this category. In order to further assess the quality of the customer service of the business, Finalists in this category will receive one anonymous mystery shopper enquiry to the business in January and the call will be scored. Only one attempt will be made within the stated opening hours of the business. Mystery shopping will constitute a 10% share of the final score.

This Award intends to recognise someone with the potential to become a future leader in their industry. The Winner will be judged on their clinical expertise, continuous professional development, commitment to patient safety and the difference they make to their patients. Above all, they will be assessed on what they are beginning to do to improve the profession as a whole.

The Crown Aesthetics Award for Best Non-Surgical Result

Criteria

This Award will recognise the medical aesthetic nurse, doctor, dentist or surgeon in England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland or Ireland who has created the best non-surgical aesthetic result over the past year. The practitioner may have utilised any type of non-surgical treatment, individually or in combination with others, to create the result over either one or multiple sessions. Surgery should not be a contributing factor to the end result.

As well as providing photographic evidence of an exemplary aesthetic outcome, the entrant should demonstrate excellent patient care/safety and patient satisfaction with the result, substantiated by patient feedback.

  • The practitioner must provide their medical registration number (NMC, GDC, GMC or Irish equivalent), which will be checked to ensure they are active on the register, and do not have any restrictions on practice. They must also be practising in an appropriate clinic setting.

The SkinadeMD® Surgical Programme Award for Best Surgical Result

Criteria

This Award will recognise the consultant surgeon who has created the best surgical aesthetic result in England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland or Ireland over the past year. The practitioner may have utilised non-surgical treatments to complement the result.

Criteria

This Award recognises the vital role played by aesthetic manufacturers to provide the aesthetic community with the latest and most innovative products. Finalists will be chosen from companies who manufacture their products in the UK or Ireland, or are subsidiaries of a global company. Eligible companies may manufacture injectables, threads, skincare, devices or other aesthetic products. They must offer an up-to-date range of products with scientific substantiation, excellent customer service and ongoing support for practitioners using their products.

Criteria

This Award recognises suppliers with exclusive distribution of aesthetic treatments, products and innovations in the UK or Ireland. When entering this Award, distributors must focus on the products they distribute exclusively to the UK/Ireland market.

The Silkann Cannula Award for Injectable Product of the Year

Criteria

This Award will be given to the manufacturer or exclusive UK or Irish distributor of the best injectable product or range offered in UK or Irish medical aesthetic clinics. This Award is open to companies that supply injectable products to medical practitioners only. The Judges will select Finalists which show good evidence that their product/range is effective, safe and easy-to-use, with high practitioner satisfaction, all backed by scientific evidence. Eligible products include those which are inserted/injected into the skin such as: dermal filler ranges or ‘hero’ products, toxins, skin boosters, threads and revitalisers etc.

If the product/range launched after 1 January 2022, it is also eligible for the Best New Product Award. Companies may enter the same product in both categories, if eligible, but it can only be announced as a Finalist in one, which will be determined by The Aesthetics Awards. Topical Skin Product/Range of the Year

Criteria

This Award will be given to the manufacturer or exclusive UK/Irish distributor of the best topical skin product or range offered in UK/Irish medical aesthetic clinics. The Judges will select Finalists who show evidence that their product is effective, safe, easy-to-use and well accepted by patients, all backed by scientific evidence. Suitable products for this category include: skincare ranges, skincare hero products, chemical peels and other topically applied products.


Important information

If the product launched after 1 January 2022, it is also eligible for the Best New Product Award. Companies may enter the same product in both categories, if eligible, but it can only be announced as a Finalist in one, which will be determined by The Aesthetics Awards. The entrant must abide by The Aesthetics Awards Terms and Conditions.

The SkinCeuticals Award for Best Energy Device

Criteria


This Award will be given to the manufacturer or supplier considered to offer the best energy-based device in the UK or Ireland. The category is open to any energy-based device available in UK or Irish medical aesthetic clinics, as well as energy-powered devices, hand-held devices, machines, etc. Entrants should showcase good evidence that their device is effective, safe, and easy-to-use, with high practitioner satisfaction, all backed by scientific evidence.


Important information


If the product is launched after 1 January 2022, it is also eligible for the Best New Product Award. Companies may enter the same product in both categories, if eligible, but it can only be announced as a Finalist in one, which will be determined by The Aesthetics Awards. The entrant must abide by the Aesthetics Awards Terms and Conditions.

The DigitRx by Church Pharmacy Award for Best New Product

Criteria

This Award recognises the new products making waves in the market. Entrants must demonstrate innovation, science, safety and excellent patient results within aesthetic medicine. Eligible products must be new to the UK/Irish market, and must have been launched in the UK/Ireland after 1 January 2022. Products must not have been entered into the Aesthetics Awards in previous years; existing products can be entered into specific product categories.


Important information

Companies may enter the same product in both the best new product category and the eligible product specific categories, but it can only be announced as a Finalist in one, which will be determined by The Aesthetics Awards. The entrant must abide by the Aesthetics Awards Terms and Conditions.

The Winner will be selected by The Aesthetics Awards Judges, and there will be no voting or mystery shopper element for this category.

Entry recommendations

You are encouraged to keep your entry concise and clear. Please aim for clarity and brevity in your entry. There is a maximum word limit of 170 words per question, but it is not mandatory to reach this limit. References count towards the word limit, but you can submit an additional reference list if it exceeds the limit.

  • Supplementary materials: You can include relevant supplementary materials like videos, images, references, testimonials, statistics, and studies in your entry. Ensure that they are directly related to the relevant question they pertain to. However, please note that supplementary materials providing extended answers will not be considered.
  • Formatting: Formatting such as bold/italicised words or bullet points cannot be included in your entries. Please make your answers clear with concise sentences and line breaks. Double-check for accuracy, grammar, and spelling. Ensure your entry addresses all questions to avoid markdowns.
  • Amendments and late entries: Once you submit your application online, you won't be able to make changes unless you pay a £100+VAT administration fee before shortlisting begins.
